Director statement

The initial idea for the screenplay Nest comes from everything I have experienced in my whole life as an immigrant —an experience rooted in fear and anxiety over matters that may seem trivial yet manifest as trauma and side effects in the lives of immigrants. For me, the experience of children, especially girls, in the context of migration has always been intertwined with profound sorrow and grief.
